Advice Warning

Our advice is based on information that we have obtained from you.  You must ensure the information we have used is accurate and complete so please check the information in the attached documents and advise us if any information is incorrect.  Otherwise, our advice may be based on inaccurate or incomplete information and may affect how your policy responds in the event of a claim.

Your Duty to Not Misrepresent

You must take reasonable care not to make a misrepresentation to the insurer.  All information provided by you must be provided honestly, accurately and to the best of your knowledge.  A misrepresentation includes a statement that is false, partially false, or which does not fairly reflect the truth.  The responsibility to take reasonable care not to make a misrepresentation applies to everyone who will be insured under the policy.

If you do not meet the above duty, the Insurer may reject or not fully pay your claim and/or cancel your policy.  If the misrepresentation was deliberate or reckless, the insurer may consider it an act of fraud and may treat your policy as if it never existed.
